2019 Challenge Wratislavia Volunteer Opportunity - Fundraiser

Vacancy CW 2019 Fundraiser – Voluntary, hours as required

Closing date:          noon 8 October 2018

Term:                    present – April 2019

Scottish Fencing are now looking to recruit a volunteer fundraiser. The aim of this role is to raise funds which support not just the travel costs of the squad selected to fence at Challenge Wratislavia but which will also fund training days which will support all our u15 and u13 fencers not just those who qualify to compete in Poland.

Ideally this volunteer will currently have fundraising knowledge however the role would also suit someone with skills in marketing, sales or in leading projects. We need enthusiasm and drive as much as skills in fundraising. You will need to be a good communicator and networker who is able to present ideas both verbally and in writing; be a persuader and influencer.

The attached job description gives more information and if you would like to discuss this further you can email Ross Morrison, Scottish Fencing’s Development Director at development@scottish-fencing.com

To apply please email a one page supporting statement with your contact details. In this summary we ask that you:

  1. explain why your work or volunteer skills are relevant,
  2. tell us what motivates you to volunteer for this role, and
  3. describe in basic terms how you intend to carry out this role

Please email this to admin@scottish-fencing.com by noon on 8 October 2018.
